More Reasons to Avoid Psychiatric Drugs

A few months ago, I told you about the horror my own family experienced at the hands of a cowboy doctor prescribing psychotropic drugs. It induced hyponatremia (low sodium) brain edema in my dad. He became a neurological vegetable for weeks. The drug induced a massive bleed into his thigh. And the hospital costs to maintain him as a living vegetable had to exceed $400,000. The human cost to my family cant be expressed in figures.

I want to use this tragedy to tell you more about the explosive growth of mind-altering drugs. Psychiatry has never really been respected in medical circles. It simply is not scientific. So, in order to present a modicum of science, shrinks decided to classify mental disorders as diseases. Problem was, the shrinks had to agree on what was a disorder.

They soon developed the DSM, a database of a few hundred classifications of mental disease. These were conditions agreed upon by a group of shrinks as abnormal. Over the years, shrinks, by consensus, expanded the number and definition of abnormal human mental states to include just about every known emotion in the human experience.

With the explosion of new mental diseases has come an explosion of drug treatments. These chemicals have driven scores of otherwise normal people in America to commit suicide or even mass murder.

The chemicals are extremely poorly studied. The data is highly manipulated. Most drugs do no better than a sugar pill when considering the large numbers of drop outs in the studies. Those passing judgment at the FDA are mostly people on Pharmas payroll. Once approved, any cowboy doctor can and will push a chemical on most any patient. Why? That is what he was trained to do — push a pill. That was the fate of my dad.

Fortunately, my dad did come out of his coma. But its been a long and difficult journey because of these drugs.
