If Your Doctor Does not Prescribe Statins, Hes Guilty of Malpractice

Get ready for a new push on statins. The New England Journal of Medicine published an article in which the authors say, Clinicians should be considered remiss if they do not prescribe these agents for all their eligible patients.

In other words, Big Pharma now will accuse your doctor of malpractice if he does not force feed you these worthless chemicals.

The number of people who have to take statins in order to save one life from heart disease is extraordinarily high. I have seen estimates that you will need to treat 100 people with Lipitor for 3.5 years to save one life. (This comes from the work of Jerome R. Hoffman, professor of clinical medicine at the University of California at Los Angeles.)

You do not need to be a rocket scientist to understand those figures. The cost factor is likewise not in your favor either. Big Pharma now wants to feed obese children this snake oil rather than feed them nutrient-dense food.

Please do not let Big Pharma ads mislead you or your doctor about statins. They are bad news, just sucking wallets dry.
