Is Chronic Illness All in Your Gut?

If you have chronic disease, you have probably been through a variety of tests. And most of them probably came back negative. When that happens, doctors usually default to its all in your head. But its definitely not. It could be all in your gut. And theres one test your doctor probably has not run. It could find the answer to your problem.

A study done several years ago at the University of Oslo showed the administration of Nystatin, an antifungal antibiotic, improved the symptoms of many chronic illnesses of the gut. Such symptoms include indigestion, sensitivity to certain foods, fungal hypersensitivity, and various other symptoms throughout the body. Alternative physicians have attributed many of these problems to a fungal overgrowth in the gut.

This same study also found that cutting out sugar and yeast-containing foods enhances the results.

Alternative physicians have taken hits for years for treating chronically ill patients with antifungals. But we have seen tremendous results with these drugs. And this study finally gives us confirmation of what we have seen clinically.

The cause for many of these yeast overgrowths is the abuse of antibiotics. Antibiotics kill the good bacteria that keep fungi growth to a minimum.

If you have had antibiotics and have mysterious complaints, consider an evaluation for a Candida related disorder. If suspected, you might consider a good lab test, such as the Cerodex test for Candida. Your doctor can order the test from Immuno-Mycologics.

There are many ways to treat Candida successfully. Antifungals work well. And eliminating refined carbohydrates and refined sugar is a must.
