You wont see this valuable information coming from Big Pharma. Yoga can protect your mental health. A small study involving middle-aged women followed them for three months. The researchers divided them into two groups. They had one group follow a yoga program consisting of two 90-minute sessions per week. They put the second group on a waiting list and these participants became the controls.
The results were remarkable. The yoga participants had improvements in perceived stress, anxiety, well being, vigor, fatigue, and depression. But it gets better. Pain levels also dropped. And a chemical stress marker, salivary cortisol, decreased with yoga. And we know how stress contributes to disease.
Action to take: Would not you rather do yoga than take a drug? I sure would. Please consider yoga before you submit to pills for any of these modern-day problems.
